CarolinaConnect is participating in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), a federal benefit program aimed at assisting low-income households. For qualifying households with a demonstrated financial need and for a limited time, the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) will lower the cost of internet service by providing a monthly credit.
How ACP works
For eligible, low-income households, ACP will provide one credit up to $30 per month toward CarolinaConnect’s fiber optic internet service. The FCC sends the credit funds to CarolinaConnect. Then, CarolinaConnect applies the credit directly to an eligible customer’s account.
IMPORTANT:
Am I eligible?
Your household is eligible for ACP if a household member meets one of the criteria below:
How to apply
CarolinaConnect does not determine if you qualify for ACP. The National Verifier determines your eligibility to receive an ACP credit. Apply online for ACP through the National Verifier customer portal or download a paper ACP Application from National Verifier and mail it to the provided address on the application.
Need additional help? Visit the ACP website for more information or contact the ACP Support Center at (877) 384-2575 or ACPSupport@usac.org.
IMPORTANT: When completing the National Verifier form, you must use the same information as the CarolinaConnect account holder by using their legal name. You must take and retain screenshots of your ACP Application and a screenshot of your ACP Application ID. These screenshots must be submitted with the CarolinaConnect Application and are required for CarolinaConnect to collect the credit toward your internet service.
